The Farmer in the Dell

그림 그리기를 좋아하는 아이가 Farmer를 그렸습니다.

골짜기(dell)에 사는 농부 이야기인데,

농부가 와이프를 데려오고

와이프는 강아지를,

강아지는 고양이를,

고양이는 쥐,

쥐는 치즈를 데려온다는 얘기입니다.

동요에서 데려온 순서대로 그린 그림, 

농부는 밀짚모자를 쓰고 있는데, 

어째 영하 20도였던 어젯밤 이 놀이를 하면서 모자를 쓰고는

"I'm a farmer, whew it's so hot!" 이라고...

영하 20도에 열심히 일하고 더워하는 농부를 연기하는 기상천외한 놀이를 하네요.

"와이프"는 헤어살롱에 다녀왔기 때문에 머리를 빨간색이라고 우깁니다.

유치원에서 쓰기를 좀 배웠는지 요즘은 뒷장에 제목도 썼습니다.

독일에서 넘어온 동요인 Farmer in the Dell은

노래 가사 중간에 파란색 와이프가 아이->간호사->소 를 데려오는 부분은

빼고 간략하게 부르는 경우가 많습니다.
