[연주] Dream Theater - Our New World

드림 씨어터의 최근앨범 The Astonishing 의 후반부에 나오는 명곡 Our New World 를 연주해보았습니다.

독창적인 기타 리프로 시작하는 흥겨운 노래입니다.

짧은 솔로 연주이지만, 그래도 존 페트루치의 연주답게 온갖 기교가 등장합니다. 

스윕피킹부터 고속 얼터닛 피킹까지 정신없이 몰아치는 솔로 연주 덕분에, 

한달이 넘게 걸려서 오래 연습을 한 후에야 겨우 연주를 할수가 있었습니다.

The Astonishing 앨범은 앨범 전체적으로 줄거리를 가지고 진행하는 컨셉 앨범입니다. 

시민을 억압하는 제국과 그에 맞서서 자유를 추구하는 사람들의 대립을 다루고 있습니다.

마지막에는 갈등과 비극을 겪은 후에 황제는 반성을 하고 자유롭고 사랑이 넘치는 세상 (Our New World) 을 만들기로 결심합니다.

이 앨범의 스토리가 최근 정치 상황에 어울리는 거 같아서, 녹음을 해봤습니다.
